I have been having trouble with my Talon since I bought it several months ago. It was hard to start to not starting at all. To were it would die while driving. BUt it would usually start after I turned it over again. I replaced the ignition coil, plugs ,wires, and the iac. Well now its sitting in the mall parking lot and won't start at all. I replaced the coil again still nothing. The car turns over but no spark. I used a spark tester to confirm this. Any ideas please help. If its a relay, a sensor please let me know also were it is and if theres a way to check it. I do have a voltmeter. My Chiltons mentions a Power Transfer (ignition module). But according the manual it was til 94'. Is there a ignition module for this car. If so where?

Thanks for the response, but I have searched the forums and I haven't found anything yet. If anyone could point me the right direction that would be great. Also I don't have a distributor. It has a ignition coil pack that I have already changed. I also used my voltmeter and found the connector to the coil pack which consists of a three female plug in to the male connector of the coil, isn't showing any volts. I did this by checking the center female connector which is the 12 volt source.

Just an update, I towed the Talon home since its been at a parking lot for 2 days. And yes its still dead. No spark or voltage reading, but it does crank when I turn the ignition over to start

Yes, I am having the same problem,
bought a new ECU, and NO SPARK!
Plugs, wires etc. are all brand new!

Am I missing something?

Pull the upper timing belt cover off and check to see if when you crank the car the timing belt moves. If it doesn't move then you have found your problem. Its easy to check and you have nothing to lose

Ok, so if I check it, and its not moving, what is my next step to fix the problem?

Ok everyone, I thought to pull out the ecm to see if the capacitors were bad. Well according to a link on this site http://www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/caps.htm the ecm is supposed to be under the center console, Well its not there. In the engine compartment there is a sticker on the drivers side. It says; software update and a new port. Next to the fuse box on the drivers side there would appear to be 2 computers, side by side. Is one of these the ecm I need to check. If so, which one and what if anything needs to be done differently?

Took the cover off, and the belt is moving each time I crank it over.
What do you suggest that I do next?
