So yesterday I decided that I would remove my ac out of my FWD 1g, seems as it did not work in the first place. Me and my roommate ripped out all of the hard lines, we ripped out the condensor, when we went to rip out the compressor we decided to take it out through the top.
Now though I am not getting any spark. I looked to see if maybe we unplugged something while we were taking it out of the top and everything was plugged in. I was thinking that maybe there was a ground that we had to hook up somewhere?

We have checked the fuses, the coil pack, and power to the coil pack. We were looking at the CAS but the injectors are firing. I put my roommates ECU in my car and still nothing.

Update... swapped transistor pack, cas, coil pack, spark plugs, spark plug wires with all known good ones, still no start. Ecu has also been swapped out.

Update... MPI fuse is good

I have ran into the problem with old brittle wiring at if it bends it breaks. Make shure you didnt break any wires.

I checked out the wiring yesterday, all of the wires looked completely fine, i will be taking the electrical tape off of them and seeing if there is something hidden under it tonight. Do you think it could be from a lack of ground somewhere?

How about the PTU? Did you check it? It's what sends the signal to the coils to fire in the first place. I know you mentioned the resister pack, but I wasn't aware if you meant for the injectors or the coil. Just covering bases is all.

x2....are you sure you are getting power into the coils? Just because the wires look fine doesn't mean you cant have a broken wire or connector.

I have checked the power transistor and also swapped mine into another dsm and it fired right up. I am getting power to the coils but it seems like the coils aren't being told when to fire.

The cas was not touched before this started happening. I did swap in a known good one just to be sure, so my car is slightly out of time, but it is not 180* out of time.

I am at a complete loss on this one, the only thing that I could think of is a ground somewhere but i wouldnt imagine it would completely kill spark.

Yeah, it's bugging me now as well... =/ If I find anything I'll let ya know..

Thanks i appreciate any help i can get!

I ended up finding out what was wrong with my car! While unwrapping the wiring harness i grabbed the plug that goes into the power transistor and the ground cable literally jut popped out. So i guess it was a ground hahaha. But she is back up and running again!

Good to hear man. Keep her on the road and anymore problems just ask and we all will gladly help you out
