Toronto,
K so i removed everything that has to do with PS. But just the rack is left there witht he small pipes coming out of it. so what i would like to know is, can i remove the pipes and cover the hole with a bolt? and should i leave some PS oil in the rack?

driving in a car that had PS and removing it is much harder to steer than a car never designed to have PS. why on earth would you wanna do that? but pluging up those holes and leaving PS fluid in it is kinda pointless, if there isnt pressurized fluid going in there it wont do a thing.

I know its hard to steer, but just wanan know can i just plug the holes with bolts and should i leave PS oil in there? just to keep the stuff inside lubed

It doesn't matter. I removed PS in my last DSM by swaping in a manual rack. Worst mod ever, and totally not worth it. You should never use a PS steering rack to make it a manual if you want to do it. Sap the rack out with a manual one. They have different turn radious as fars as the wheel inside the car goes.

reason y im doing this is cuz its a drag/street car, and its NOT A DSM CAR, but i did have the 2.0 4g63 and now im doing the turbo motor with alot of new parts (t3/t4, 4 msd coils etc)
i just wanna clean up the engine bay and remove stuff i dont really need.

If you plug your hose ports up you will have a definite turning problems (with each turn it will get harder and harder). Even though the rack is not hooked up it still has has the valving in it that is trying to work (suck in on the pressure, release on the return). It is best to to have a loop line that runs from your pressure port to the return port and keep the system closed.
