No oil presure and smoke.

My engine is louder than most 2.0 turbo dsm engines...it has low oil presure and smokes...does this mean i have bad rings?, or maby a bad turbo...the turbo doesnt seem to have play so im pretty sure its the rings...any input would be nice...thanks

what color is the smoke?

blueish...its def oil and i think its the rings cause my engine is very lous around 3000 rpm...it doesnt sound right at all...i think it just might be time for a rebuild

blue smoke is not good... do you change your own oil? when was the last time you did?
check to see if theres coolant in it. It could be a bad head gasket. How many miles are on the motor?

i just changed my oil about 2 weeks ago...the car has always smoked though...i have 89777 miles on the engine. But still as i said my engine is very loud..y would it be so loud?

If you think its the rings do a compression test.

Also check if it smokes when you start the car and idle it after it has been sitting for a while that could mean that it's your valve seals.

To check your turbo try checking the end shaft for play. Take the intake pipe off and try to move the shaft easily up down and left right. Up down is worse.

Well when i bout the car i had a few bad valves and replaced them. the car smokes pretty much all the time not much at all unless i rly hit the gas, then a nice tire sized puff of smoke comes out.

Im kinda a noob, how would i go about doin a compression test.

Buy a compression guage at CAP, NAPA or what ever car parts place is near you. You take one spark plug out and put the guage in there. Then take out the MPI fuse on the positive battery terminal and then crank the engine for like 10 revs or what ever it takes before the gauge stops moving. Don't crank stop crank stop, do it all at once.
