No more boost incraments?

Ok so I finally got my car running fine and put the mbc on and started off with 9lbs of boost on my 13g turbo and now I have it turned up all the way and it's only boosting 11lbs? I defently don't have a boost leak. Do you think that the boost doesn't go up anymore because of my wastegate not opening any farther or what? Can I get a stiffer spring for my MBC? If so from where? What about a stiffer spring for my wastegate? Is it worth getting or not? Thanks everyone

You MBC should be able to hold more than 11psi.

13g? If you have a 2g and the turbo is stock, it's a T-25. The 13g was on automatic 1g.

Have you performed a boost leak test or do you just "know" that you don't have any leaks?

Did you change your turbo? What kind of MBC? How many PSI did you do for your boost leak test?

Stock BOV... you're lucky you got 11 psi. You are spinning that little turbo to death. Turn the boost down and do a boost leak teast.

Ya im 100% sure that it's a 13g and yes it has NO boost leaks. I checked. But is it most likely that it is the BOV? Like I can't even hear the BOV go off or anything. All I mainly hear is the intake when it sucks in air. But how does this BOV look? I have had my eye on it for a while.

That BOV sounds amazing and I could get those fins that make it sound different also. I know i'm not going to buy it off that website cause I can most likely find it cheaper somewhere else but has anyone tried this BOV? Can I just install it on my car without modding anything?

To properly run that BOV, you need a GM MAF. With your current setup, you need a BOV which can be recirculated. Popular choices are the 1G BOV or Greddy. Don't go down the ricer path so early in the game.

The fact that you claim 100% no boost leaks is BS given the fact that you have a 2G BOV. Those plastic pieces of crap leak well at stock boost levels.

Haha well I knew that my BOV was leaking but I was speaking about in other locations. I had a feeling it was going to be the BOV that was the problem because I have heard that they are crap past like 10psi. But that BOV isn't ricey is it? I by NO means want to rice out my car. But I guess I can go with the stock 1g BOV for now. I just wanted to know for the future if I do get the ssq.

The SSQ can be recirculated but I've never looked into the subject due to the availability of cheaper and equally functional parts. Besides, if you recirc, you'll be losing out on that "cool sound."

If your 2G BOV is leaking, there's no way you will know what other leaks you have. A leak-free system is one which will hold 5 more PSI that whatever you are boosting via a proper boost leak test.

Should I get a BOV that is crushed or not? Like I have heard mixed thoughts of crushing a BOV. Like if it is done the right way do you think it should be better than just getting an uncrushed?

And also do I need some sort of adapter to put a 1g BOV on my 2g?

You don't need to crush a 1g BOV unless it starts leaking on you too, after 15 - 17 psi or so. Until then, leave it uncrushed.

You will need an adapter that costs about $25.

I think i'm just gonna end up going with an evo 8/9 bov. It's a drop in and they hols easily over 20lbs boost.
