no limp mode no codes but tranny slips idk its a really wierd problem

Ok resently my car has been starting up wierd when I first start the car up it acts like its a stick by slipping in gear like tha clutch is slipping the whole time I drive. My car needs teh front seal replaced which I was gonna do the day my tranny messed up.

I was driving down the road and I would come to a stop and it would just keep on going in and out of first gear I mean u could fell it shift or what ever it was doin. So I can drive that car in 1rst gear at like 5000rpm and hardly even move. Normally it goes away when the car warms up but for some reason it just didn't go away

On my way to my doctors apoint ment I kept pulling over to the side of hte road because my car would act as if it was in neutral and wouldn't go into gear. then when I pulled back onto the road it was fine until the car hit 3rd and it would seem to go back to neutral again so I had to drive about 5 miles in 2nd gear at about 45.

I was thinkin could this have something to do with the tranny fluid or filter because my dad had put some stop leak in the tranny 2 times because it was leaking so much and it didn't help. Could the stop kleak clogged the filter and made the car run like this or is it a internal trans problem

O yea I pulled the codes and nothing it came up normal and I don't get limp mode or anything like that at all so idk

I would guess that your trans may be thoroughly destroyed at this point.

sound like you ran it really really low on fluid and at the speeds you stated and the amount of time chances are you cooked your tranny! see tranny fluid is not only used in a trans for hydulic pressure but also to help cool down the bands and clutch packs and other nice stuff your tranny needs...i seriously dont think even if you change your seal and your filter and the fluid you will go far afterwards if at all...

ok thanks for the replys I guess I'll have to go out nad find a used tranny I think its gone too. But why wouldn't any error codes come up an no limp mode

because electroniclly everthing could be fine ,but mechaniclly junk. kind of like you could you could blow a head gasket and the car might skip and run like sh*t but your ecu would never know the difference
