So my buddy just bought a 95 eclipse gsx with a 6 bolt swap. It has a 20g turbo with all supporting mods and supposedly has link v2 in it. It starts up fine and runs great for about the first 5 minutes and than starts to stumble horribly and sounds like its gonna die. Than if you shut it off and turn it right back on it runs great again for about 5 minutes than same exact thing, its also stumbling real bad under boost. Also when it starts acting up the wide band maxes out and looks like this "---" We got the code pulled and it says it has a random miss fire, we already replaced the ignition wires and that didnt help. Before we start spending guess fix money does anyone have any idea whats going on with it?

What kind of wideband and how is it wired in? The sensor could be going bad and throwing things off. Check cam and crank sensors. I had a problem with my 95 gst once it would run then die then start again later and die, ended up being the crank sensor.

The random misfire code is from using a non 95-96 CAS with a 95 ECU.

It was a notorious problem for those with the older versions of DSMLink who also had 6 bolt swaps or those using Link on 97+ vehicles.

There are a few ways to deal with it. Pot Mod on the BARO input (scroll to page 10 of the linked pdf) is probably the easiest, but a signal inverter is less of a hack.
