I just got this 95 talon tsi awd.. I like the car.. but I'm finding all the stoopid broken dsm crap.

I have a non-working fuel gauge.. thank god for the dummy light
I've pulled the float from the tank, it appeared to be in working order ? don't really know how you would test one ? LOL...

Is there anything else that would be interfering with the fuel gauge ?

everything else in the cluster works, as it should..

:banghead:

it could be your sending unit, when you check it was the floater arm bent? also it should have three wires a positive a ground and a sending wire, put the sending wire to ground and see if the gauge moves.

If you have a dmm u can check the resistance on the gauge as you sweep up and down on the flow, check for flat spots or not changing on the reading, you would know if ## gauge it's good or not
