????????air Fuel Gauge Bad?????????

i just installed an air fuel gauge and at idle it doesent do anything do i have to let it warm up or what i hooked it up through the dimmer and then the signal to the spade looking thing in the passenger side kick panel but just doesnt work

Nothing is wrong with the A/F gauge. Is not reading correctly and probably needle going rich to lean back and forth because is not even accurate.
What you need is a wideband.

thers nothing even showing up but when i first turn the gauges on it goes up and then back down so i know it has to be hooked up right should i just take it for a spin and see if it reads anything

The gauge won't read anything for a little while till the O2 sensor warms up. As you idle your car to let it warm up, the gauge will slowly climb higher, then slowly start going back and forth. The hotter the exhaust gets, the faster it will cycle back and forth. Have fun with your new blinky rave gauge. I can only imagine what it's like to watch the gauge on some X

after insatlling it i let it warm up for about 5-10 mins i thought that would be long enough...............but yeah i'm going to switch to wideband real soon so i got a gauge that works for either but for right now i had to get a boost gauge asap and i got this good deal for both....my buddy for his birthday (March 2nd) got from his mom a dual pillar and boost and a/f gauge and his girlfriend got him the same thing so he sold it to me for 45 still in box cant beat that.
