No BOV sound?

Believe it or not, mine got quieter when I did that too. Your blow-off valve is still opening though, don't worry about that. Get an aftermarket metal intake tube (Injen, dejontool, extremepsi, etc) and you'll hear it better.

thank you for the reply, seems weird that the mod desnt make it louder. is there any way to test the bov to make sure? i was driving about 10mins ago and when the turbo kicked in the bov fluttered. any ideas?
 
Make sure that you reconnected the vac line to it. Without that it will not open and you will get crazy compressor surge.

the vac line on the bov? I never even touched it. Hopefully nothing is wrong. I just built a boost leak tester and hopefully i come to some conclusion. thank you all for the replies so far.
 
I checked out the BOV and it works just fine. I was just making sure i was not harming the turbo. Thank you all for the replies.
