Trying to launch the car and I get NO boost, just 20in lbs of vaccuum. It sits at 0in lbs up to 4k then drops down to 20in. The car idles at ~14in lbs of vaccuum(sometimes a little higher).

I've done a search and checked accordingly. I dont have an exhaust leak, I adjusted the wastegate, and no vaccuum leak.

What am i missing? Shouldnt I be able to pull at least 10lbs of boost at a launch?

Any help is greatly appriciated.

PS-if I put this in the wrong place, I'm sorry, I'm still learning this site along with the car.

I have a 95 tsi, i can rev to 7k and see no boost (even on my after market guage) Altho my vac is around 22lb I dont see boost on a launch untill i have depressed the clutch and actually started moving the car :talon: <-shyt :laser: <-shyt :dsm: <-Shyt

that is perfectly normal with a manual trans the turbo will barely spool until a load is put on the engine so even revving at 4k it should be around 0 the second you start to release the clutch the psi should jump straight up

You sure you don't have a leak? 14" of vacum seems kinda low for a 1G. I get around 18" when idling,, 15" with the AC on...

The vaccuum stays 14 min and 20 max, we just checked for leaks yesterday.

Thanks for the help-I'm going to go practice launching and see what she does :p
