Hey there everybody, just wanted to share my ideas I have for my 420A. After I finish up my current work on my 98 GS auto (header, exhaust, intake) I plan on doing a compression test, replacing any leaking gaskets, and making sure the engine is in over all good condition (134,000 miles). Then I plan on setting up nitrous. Don't get me wrong turbo is great I love turbo. Mainly for the fact you always have power, and well what man/woman does not get their jollies off on a BOV? But when it comes down to it I still feel pound for pound and over all cost. Nitrous is the best bang for the buck. Plus I'm not a huge speed junkie like I used to be. I want to keep my car reliable as possible while still having some fun on Friday nights at the track when it opens back up. Here is what I have planned so far for the nitrous kit.

Starting off of course with what kit to use? There are so many brands out there but the only ones that catch my attention that I have heard about are of course:

N.O.S.
Nitrous Express (NX)
Cold Fusion
ZEX

All four of these brand name nitrous kits go between $450-$600 for the single fogger EFI Universal Wet Kit. I know ZEX has a dummy proof system (So they say!) with their intake/nitrous kit. And the other three are all about the same. In the end I think for me it comes down to N.O.S. or NX. Either way I will be setting up a WOT trigger because push buttion is :notgood: WOT is over all the safest way to use nitrous, and of course nitrous is best used on a auto (so I have read on both NX and Cold Fusions website). Also instead of tapping into my intake manifold/runners I will be using a throttle body spacer to tap into, that way if I ever decided to take the kit out I wont have holes in my manifold anywhere. Unless you all know of a better way to do this besides the ZEX way. So here is the little list I have put together in my head for a safe nitrous kit:

Complete Nitrous Kit $450-$600
Bottle Heater Kit $100
Nitrous Purge Kit $150
Throttle Body Spacer $50

Anything I'm leaving out? If so please add your comment and I'll take any advice you can give. I have no clue how the 420A takes to nitrous, I plan on starting with a wet 35shot and working my way up to a wet 75shot. I won't go any higher than 75shot without upgrading my fuel system, thanks ahead for all of your help.

I would look into a product called nano nitrous. It makes it so you don't need a bottle heater andd alows you to use all of your bottle without dealing with pressure loss from almost empty bottle. Other than that why are trying to stay away from zex. I have owned 2 kits from them and they are def better in my opinion than the rest. They are crazy easy to install and as safe as say a venom kit which is the top of the line in technology.
