Newly rebuilt motor blowing fuel out of the exhaust

Ok I just did a full 6 bolt build. I did the full bottom end and got a reman. head that they said it was turbo. Now the engine runs awesome but will not go past 5000 rpms and when you try it throws fuel out the exhaust. What could it be? Is it the cams?

Are you sure it's fuel? When it won't go past 5k, is it missing, or is it just pulling down? Bogging? I really need more specifics. Missing could cause fuel to come out I guess, but I can almost guarantee you toasted your converter. That is if you have one. If it's bogging, you can have a bad fuel pump, sock on the fuel pump could be stopped up or your fuel filter. Bogging is also caused by the Catalytic converter stopping up. In more rare cases when you use an exhaust pipe that has a pipe within a pipe, I have seen the inner pipe collapse and cause an exhaust restriction. You can test your exhaust by removing your o2 sensor and do an exhaust back pressure test. Run at around 2k and see if you have over 1 psi at the o2 bung.

it misses and as soon as you let off there is black smoke like its really rich. any more ideas

Is it timed correctly? You may want to check that out to. Did you put new wires and plugs in? If it's running that rich you should be able to narrow the problem down pretty easily. If you just built this motor, has it been properly tuned? These should help everyone figure out your problem.
