Newbie to the max.

Sup ladies and gents,

I never really been a fan 4cly sports cars, but this car was practically given to me and decided to start something new. I have a 91 tsi, 5 speed. I got the car with a bad clutch. What clutches do u guys recommend to get it running, also, after I changing all the fluids, spark plugs, plugs, ect. What do you guys recommend mechanically to give it a little more balls. Also, any problems I should be aware? The car is completely stock, but looks like it has a new timing belt and the sprockets are really new.. have a good day, thnx. Please no nonsense. I really want to get informed on this car.

As far as clutch gose it depends on your power goals.

Is it the turbo 4G63 or the Chrysler 420A motor in your TSI? If it's the 4G in there and has the stock 14B you can always just hook up an MBC and a boost controller, crank up the boost, if you don't care about the motor.

Edit: Wow you know you need sleep when you ask what motor is in the tsi haha.

I'd recommend just doing all your basic maintenance and then if you're just looking to have fun you can do what I said above.

I honestly see a lot of potential in this car. It was sitting for 3 years but it fires up from a cold start like butter.

Look the car over, check for any other routine or preventative maintenance to perform. Then, decide what you want out of it. Mild? Wild? Start look at other people's builds/mod lists to get an idea of what will get you where. Oh, and you're never more than a Google search away from finding an answer to any of your questions.
