what's goin ppl anyways i just bought a 97 gst for 1000 it had minor work that needed to be done like it was missin a front side skirts and stuff like that, motor was in great shape. But still put a new timing belt, balance shaft belt, pretty much all of the belts got replace, new valve cover gasket, did a tune up on her and she was ready to go. But now i got a problem, she feels like she lost power i want to say that the cat. went bad on it but im not 100% sure and it cant be the turbo becuz i hear it still spoonin up the car just cant goin anywhere. i hope u guys can help me thanx OH yea i will post sum pic of my car to show u guys how i brung this car back to life haha

Do you have any modifications done? You have to be a little more specific on exactly what you're feeling & hearing & seeing. Cause remember we can't.

Go into detail about "lost power". Does it idle properly, only during hard acceleration, all the time, etc. More details.

I had the same thing happen to me about half an hour after finishing my 14b build.

Try this IC Pipe Tester.

Worst case you fix whatever leaks you have if it ends up not being the problem. I had a hole that a mouse could have gone through haha.

I agree with canadian. First things first as everyone always tells me boost leak test! You can not imagine the weird places you will find leaks. Would definatly also account for loss of power. Also a good place to start.

As long as you follow vfaq and/or get a manual like everyone says I dont think you messed anything up. However if your car is running good and you have no power, double check that your timing is not off. It is very easy to be off a half tooth or a whole tooth, I made that mistake the first time I did my belt. I was off half a tooth and the car ran good but I had no power.

Check your vacuum lines as well. They can be a real pain just like anything else on these cars. I have a 97 Talon and the vacuum lines are all screwed up yep but no worries, this is where to go when you have problems. Oh BTW Welcome to the DSM scene.
