Anyone want to come over and help a newbie out? I'm doing my timing for the first time and I've hit a wall and don't want to screw up my valves. Please!!! I'm in between Hillsboro and Aloha.

I am at work in beaverton but don't get off till 10pm. :p

Bummer you avil to stop by tomorrow before work?

Totally wish I had the time, I kinda live far over by troutdale.Just curious do you have everything to do your timing?Timing belt, tensioners, balance shaft belt?Did you get a water pump too?

I got a belt and water pump the guy I bought the car from said he had the timing just done 10k ago. The reason I'm doing it now there was some belt rub going on and I wanted to throw a new one on. But it seems this was not a good project to jump into for a complete newbie. I have everything off and a new belt on but I lost all my timing marks I did on the bottom side while I was cleaning all the grease off. I know dumbass move I wasn't even thinking. I think I need to start from scratch but I don't know where to start.

All the parts look new and are in good shape I should add so it doesn't look like the guy I bought it from lied.

Also when I was cleaning the oil pump pulley moved from the original spot does it matter to be in time for the harmonic balancer?
