The stuff in this post was solved(had to enable the idle switch simulation), now i need help for the stuff listed in my last post toward the bottom.

You got to set up the maf to run as good as you can . go for a short drive. stop the log right click on it and select the maf adjust and then of course save to ecu.this should get you started.
then set the airflow per rev to around .25 by moving the maf adjust sliders up or down.(the first to dots are used at idle)
Post a log.
If you don't know how i can help

I'll have to do this in the morning. But i can barely drive the car the way its running.

Yeah i hear ya, i tried to post a log but i cant find any of the ones i saved without going into ECMLink.

I'll post back in the morning WITH logs

i have a 98 gsx awd it doesnt crank nore attempt to its quite... now imma tell you confedently i know its not the battery the terminals the starter the ignition swicth the swicth under the dash that the clucth peddal has to push in in order to start car. not the fuel pump not the spark plugs :banghead::confused:

so what could it be...?

double check the maft setting on link and leave it on stock 2g maf not hacked at the moment also double check your engine bay for anything that might have came loose intake, piping, vacuum hoses etc..... maybe during the pulls something came loose......

:ohdamn:

I was going to post one of the previous logs i managed to save before i started having the issues, but the site says that "the file exceeds the quota by 243KB"?.

I guess you have to erase some of the old ones.
I know it sucks.

See, thats what i was thinking, i thought that maybe an IC pipe coupler had blown off but i checked and everything looked good. But i still gotta make a boost leak tester to make sure. I think i have a couple minor leaks(BOV maybe, Injectors, maybe j-pipe). But it ran great on the way home from doing the pulls which is what confused me.

Well, tomorrow's another day. Peace out :hellyeah:.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had a hard time getting started when it first fired up(always happens to me on warm starts, why?) then everything was running fine(i have my target idle set a 1100, wtf?) then all of a sudden it hit 400rpm(end), then i gave it gas, then it fell again and shut off.

and im running uber rich btw.

Your airflow per rev is up.Put the sliders on on 0.remember you aiming for .25 at idle all warmed up
and post another log

First off your target idle is set to high, your idle switch isn't working so enable simulate idle switch from TPS.
you also want to log combinedFT, also your front O2 isn't cycling like it should (not working?)

Follow this demo http://www.ecmtuning.com/demos/initialsetup.html

should get you in the ballpark and report back with another log

Zero out the airflow sliders and run another log, but make sure the car is fully warmed up . add airflow per rev, maf raw, combined fuel trim, idle switch from the captured values to the displayed values under the edit bar.

Good eye.on the idle switch.yes do that(this is huge)
in open loop the o2 wont cycle,so it might be good still

Thank you for the help guys. I'm going out right now to do everything ya'll mentioned, then i'll post back

Alright so enabling idle switch simulation thru TPS was a great idea. Now it is running "normal" again. Except for one thing, when im cruising, it will kind of hicup and combinedFT and a couple others will read 0.0% then it will jump back up to where it was at, then about 8 seconds later it will happen again. Heres my log.

logs:

The first one is a short cruise. the other shows the issue i have whenever i let off the throttle. Its like the ecu cant make up its mind what to do("open loop or closed loop? hmm lets just switch between the 2 randomly to piss off Tyson" :toobad:) It does it at idle and whenever i let off the gas under 45mph it seems.

Your 02 doesn't look like it's even trying to cycle . i'd check it and change it, if necessary. and your injector settings are set for 565 cc but your mod list says 550 cc make sure they match.

On the first log the o2 is cycling fine
You got the lock comm in ecmlink mode checked.
I really don't know what that does but its not checked off on mine or any of the other logs i've seen

oops, i must have hit it by accident while doing something else. I turned it off and did a new log but it didnt change anything. but anyways.

I have this problem when i am at 0 percent throttle and the motor is warmed up.(the log on the top ending with 23.elg). The ecu is trying to go back and fourth between open and closed loop and i cant stop it. It literally changes every 1 second maybe less. please look at the log and any advice would be appreciated.

my mod list said 550's but thats only because thats what i was told they might be. It turns out that they are evo 3 injectors appearently. Because at 99.6% injector duty link said that fuel flow was at 2175cc/min. thus being 560cc injectors... i think...

Stupid question is the throttle cable holding open the throttle open abit?
Have you played with the throttle plate adjustment or the biss(idle screw)
Check to see if the tb has a big leak by spraying something like brake fluid or even water on it.it should change the pitch of the motor if it has a leak.

Thanks for the reply bro, this is really annoying me. I'll go out and check if the throttle wire has something to do with the issue, but the TB leak test will have to wait till the morning.

Well, it wasnt the cable, the cable is fine, keep in mind the car idles fine until a load is put on the engine and then taken off. After you let off the throttle is when it starts.

I got a hold of someone on the link forums that had the same exact problem. He told me to bring my TPS back to 0.63v with the throttle closed(currently 0.45v) and then adjust the biss to where the ISCPosition reads close to 30.

I'm going to try this and see if it helps.

I tried adjusting the biss and almost got it completely gone, but i think thats just going to come back and bite me in the ass if i dont re-adjust the TPS.
