hey im new to this forum and to dsm..not new to cars by a long shot..
ill try to make this short and to the point, any way i got a 91 gsx a.t. strait body black on white for 500 bucks the exhaust cams skipped on the belt resulting in catastrophic failure of the valves. so i got another motor it has a bad block (the two lower trans bolt tongues broke) so im going to swap the heads and the pistons (im on a budget)
my questions are
1 my original motor has arp head studs can i use them again and are the torque specs the same as oem?
2 should i swap pistions and rods to my original crank or swap crank to?
sould i swap the 450 injector with the 14b turbo (my being an auto its got 390's and a little baby turbo 13a i believe?. i know it will make my car richer with out a tune but it cant be by that much can it?
3 my new motor has a new is mls head gasket i was told i can reuse it but im a little skeptical
and finally whats the best complete rebuild gasket kit?
and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

If you swap the 450's you also need to swap in the manual fpr, and the 5speed ecu..To use without a tune..
My only Question is what's wrong with the 13g stock auto turbo..Cus If It's cheap I might take it off your hands.Pm me if the price is right..

You can infact swap heads after a bent valve problem..My buddy just did this on a 92 talon..You can swap pistons, but if there is no damage to the pistons you should be ok..The buffy with the talon had a little damage to the pistons, but not enough to need new pistons..

I can't help you with all you're questions. But I installed ARP's in my motor when I built it, and torque specs are different. Im not sure what they are, but you could problably find out on their website or if you e-mailed them.

All of these answers could be answered with a quick search but here you go.
1. Are you using arp moly lube or engine oil?
Swapping around cranks and rods are a bad idea without new bearings and/or machine work. As for the turbo and injectors, really depends on what you want out of the car.
3. It has been done with succes and failure. I would try it if it is a "new" motor myself.
