New to DSM modding

Ok first off, my name is dezi, i drive a 95 eclipse as a DD. Recenetly i picked up a blue 93 eclipse gs n/t auto for a 100 buckos. Needs a new tranny bellhouse is cracked all the way around . So anyway here are my questions

1. What should i look for in a new tranny (i heard dsms are nutorious for them)

2. the car runs strong with 216k on it, how much more can i expect out of it

3. how hard is it to swap all the parts over from the Turbo

4. Is the manual conversion hard?

and 5. Was a bill a good price on theis 93 clipse with 200+k on it body is completly straight no rust few tiny dings, or should i part it out?

Sounds like a good deal and since it's your first post I'll be nice but you can find out about the manual conversion by searching as well as turbo swap. For $100 I would have bought it too. Good deal as long as you can find a good transmission. As far as milage goes, get a compression test done and keep regular maintenance on it and you never know how long it could last. As far as an automatic transmission there isn't a lot that you can look for. Just make sure you can move the shift level freely and drain some fluid out to check the condition.
