okay so im taking the radio thats in my talon out and im going to be putting the one out of my avenger in there are the connectors the same the ones that you have to wire to your headunit to work with the stock connections for the stock radio

Is the head unit out of the Avenger the stock one?

no its a sony that i had bought and used in the avenger and need to know if the connectors are the same

They should be the same, there cousins..I don't own a 2g, but my girl has an avenger..I'm pretty sure the 2g kit and avenger kit looked the same when I had to get one for her car..

They sould be the same. Hold the two connectors next to eachother just to verify they are the same. you should be able to look at wire colors and shape of the connectors to know if they are the same.

yea i havnt taken the radio out of the talon yet but i did look up the connector and it only shows one for all the colors and the avenger one has 2

I am guessing in the avenger the speakers are on one connector and the power, ground, acc, remote on, and the others are on the second?

yea they are different the avenger had 2 plugs that you wire to the radios harness and the eclipse/talon has one that you wire to the radios harness ..looks like i gotta take a ride to best buy

I am guessing in the avenger the speakers are on one connector and the power, ground, acc, remote on, and the others are on the second?

yea thats exactly how it is and the 2g are all on one connector

also does anyone know how to take the back speakers out and the small ones on he dash

to take out the rear speakers (without damaging the screen), you take off the interior quarter panel around them (way easier than it sounds). one bolt is hidden on each side along the bottom of the seat. Then you just unscrew the speakers and take off the wire tabs. probably about a 45 min project for the rears just cause you have to crawl in the backseat

Rollover pretty much covered it. Aside from that, just be really careful when pulling the rear interior quarters out. They will crack if you arent. Those clips can be stubborn when removing them. I usuallu brab it with two hands about six inches apart and pull straight towards the center of the car. As soon as the top clip releases, move down to the middle one using the same technique, and then get the bottom one.

Rollover, how is it going man? How is the car coming along?

good. got new turbo, downpipe, fp manifold, front mount and some other goodies. should be done next weekend.

When I bought my car the Stereo had been yanked out and the previous owner was a little more than creative before that. I started by pulling all of the wires out and took a trip to the junkyard to retrieve the connectors I needed.

The front dash speakers are easy, pry the screens up with a screwdriver, wrap it in cloth to keep from scratching if you think you need it. I was able to find a good pair of infinity speakers for the front, they have pretty good range and don't just put out the highs like most of them.

I can recomend putting some 6 1/2" subwoofers in the doors if you can find the larger door bezels at the junkyard, you'll love the extra base.
