I recently just upgraded from a 14b to a big 16g and ended up going to the track.

Setup is as follows: Stock 450's , Stock Cams, Stock SMIC, Dejon UIC, Methanol Injection, Mitsu Big 16g, Evo GT Manifold, Buschur 3" exhaust, Act 2100 clutch, Buschur Racing Tranny, Center diff welded 50/50, 190 pump, SAFC II w/ pocket logger, MBC at 18psi.

I logged the car before I went to the track and timing peaked at 23 degrees with a couple counts of knock popping up here and there but nothing serious.

Overall I thought it was a pretty decent run and was happy with it.

18psi on a b16g w/ 450 injectors? Whew...

Get some injectors =)

Where'd you go? D42 or Norwalk?
 
I went to dragway 42 for tuesday test and tune.

18psi on pump gas with methanol /water injection. The methanol / water injection is what is saving me, I have a m8 jet and a 100psi pump. Though I normally have it at 15psi for around town. The duty cycles at 18psi were in the mid to high 90's but i just wanted to see what she had in her and like i said before the only reason I turned up the boost and tuned it was specifically for the track.

But yeah some new injectors would help me out :)
 
Once I get my car back from Shep (hopefully this week) I'll need to do a few quick fixes, then I wanna get out to D42. Will be my first time in an AWD car^^ It's bone stock though, so that kinda limits my fun LOL.

If you can get away with 18psi on 450's, what would you be able to push with 550/660's?
 
Nice! Sorry i didnt see the "mbc at 18psi" in the first post! YOu are motivating me to put my methanol injection back on the car and go have some tuning fun!
 
yeah methanol was the best mod ive done to the car. You would be surprised on how different you car acts with it. When i first put it on with stock fuel I couldnt go past 15psi without knocking , after the meth install I could go up to 20 psi without 1 count of knock and to top it off it raised the timing from 18 to 23.

I cant reccomend it enough.
 
no AFPR, stock fuel pressure and full interrior without any weight reductions.
