So for the past 2 years i have been searching around and trying to decide on what kind of car to buy. I originally really wanted an Evo 9 or STI. I decided that anyone can just buy a car like that and say they have a sick car. I have always liked the look of the 2gb eclipses and would like it much more if i built a car myself. I am looking for a 97-99 GST or GSX in any color really. I really want to completely start fresh and buy a car that may have a lot of miles on it and then put a brand new motor in the car and start there. I plan on keeping the car for a very very long time. Does anyone know where you can buy a stock motor from?

There are numerous vendors on this site that offer rebuilt engines for them. Anywhere from stock to a very well built race engine.

If I was use I would look for a car in good shape and do everything yourself that way you could learn.

I have done a lot of research on this site and learned the basics but time to actually make my own. I want to get a motor thats almost 100% stock and then go from there.

Just get the car,and a complete motor (whichever motor you want to run) and then have a reputable machine shop build it fresh.
And do it RIGHT. New water pump,thermostat,etc...don't waste time cutting corners.
