After two phone conversations with an eBay shop to make sure I was getting what I needed, I bought an inexpensive j-pipe to replace my old one.
Long story short, it isn't even close to what I need. It doesn't come straight down by the roll stopper as I was told...in fact it sits almost inline with the compressor inlet...so I'm not sure how you would ever run an intake if this is supposed to fit a 1G.
Anyway, I cut the flange off and after a couple of hours of metal work 101, I have it modified and tacked to where I need it. My question is, is the flange angle too sharp now and will it cause flow problems? My gut instinct tells me it is ok, but I don't know how critical a change of direction coming out of the compressor is. It's not a 90* turn or anything drastic, but it is definitely not a perfect transition.
Thoughts?
