So this new member/lurker thing is annoying.. all i want to do is post a clutch for sale or trade and it wont let me. how exactly do you become a "proven member"? sorry for the bitchin but it is just stupid.

Dont worry you arent the only one. I have been on this site as member for 7 months just reading articles and buying stuff off the classified ads. I guess it kind of makes me be a little more hands on and have to help other people out on here before i can get back to buying some used parts again

There is some kind of post count/ time length before you can access the classifieds on pretty much any forum, I don't understand why people feel the need to create a thread to bi*** about it when they could have used that time to make some creative tech posts to help someone out.

There are other ways to sell parts, I.E. craigslist or eBay.

The reason there are people complaining is because it changed from what it used to be. Im not saying that is wrong of them to do. Just kind of put a little delay on getting some parts for my rebuild. Yea there are other places i can go and get them, but i would rather put the money into the community knowing its going to others out there. Not some ebay business that makes cheap crap. Im not saying that everything on ebay is crap or that all business on ebay make crap.

oh yeah i think u gotta wait 30 days and have 30post or somethin. craigslist is a good place for dsm here in colorado. everything i have ever needed i got from there. and i have met some of the realest people ever from there.

It doesn't currently affect me, but it did for a while, and I never made a thread to complain about it, and I wasn't directing that comment towards you, because you didn't start the thread.

You can make 30 legitimate tech posts in 30 days easily. The rule is made to help you not get scammed. If they let anyone sign up and post stuff for sale, who knows how many people would pay for something and never get it.

not to mention its a good way to keep solicitors out of the page that dont even know what DSM means.

we all had to go through it and the fact is your just trying to sell your things (its fine) but you can do it just as easily on craigs list as anywhere else while you wait to build your rep.

No i completly understand why they do it. And the OP started with a legit question. He didnt know how to become a proven member and where to find it. I was just sharing with him that he was the only one that it slightly inconvenienced.

same I have been a member for a while and didn't start posting for maybe more then 6 months. Honestly there are so many answers here to you questions, there isn't a need to post that often. I just read and read and read everything in the tech articles and more.
