So I snapped a head bolt( #1 the first one I was putting in) turns out the torque wrench was broken and I just kept going and it broke.(wasent even really wrenching on it hard) I got the bolt out and everything(it snapped in the middle). My question is can I re-use the new head gasket that I put in.(cause I dont know how much I torqued it down when the bolt broke, probably was more then 58 ft lbs)
Also, another question. Since this bolt snapped, Im thinking about re using my arp headstuds that were in the car when I took the head off. Im hesitant because for sure It was leaking out the head gasket, but there were no signs of the gasket being blown or anything(it looked ok). but I dont think it would have been the arp head studs? I dont know, I might just order another OEM head bolt for the one I snapped.
