If I were to buy a new Tachometer and speedometer, would you guys think the speedo needs to be re-calibrated for my car? It's an Autometer Ultra-lite. I can't figure out if i would need to set these things or not. If you're wondering I'm doing a dash swap and all new gauges. Complete interior overhaul. Thanks for the help.

Why would you replace the stock tach and speedo with something else ? I'm sure its just a matter of wiring it up

Because my entire interior is completely custom fiberglass, with a professional paintjob. I refuse to re-do everything then keep stock gauges. Mine as well replace them to complete the project.

I was sure it would be wiring too. But re-calibrating is not something I'm fimiliar with..

Check out www.prosportgauges.com I recently got a new electric boost gauge and its pretty sweet and great prices. I am not a fan of AM. They also have 2 inch tachs, not for me but still kinda cool.
