I found a brand new from Hyundai 2.4L G4CS block for $600. Is this worth getting, would I need to get the block re honed with a torque plate? Or any more machining that will need to be done to maintain a tight tolerance motor? I will be installing oil squirters.

I am building a 93 gsx from the grown up to be my daily driver.
This is not a budget build but if there is on real advantage to a new block why spent the extra money.

What kind of tolerances should I expect in the cylinder, I would like to keep it +/- .0001.
Are there any places that the factory is known to get sloppy?
Do you think this is this a good deal, Is there a vender that would have the answers?

Advantages of a new block over a used one:
Tolerances are already checked.
Deck is not going to need machining.
Clyinders will only need honed, no overbore required.
Bearings, seals, gaskets all are fine.
No leaks.
No worn out parts.
Tear down is easier.
The cost of buying and machining a beat-up used block would closely rival the cost of the new one.

Disadvantages: fresh locktite.
