I finally got my new engine in and i can get it to fire up for a few seconds but it dies right away. I think i have a vaccum leak so i will be testing for that tomorrow, what else would you guys say to check if i cant find a leak? Once i can get it to idle i will set the base timing and hopefully take it out for a break in ride. thanks for the help.

PS
I already checked all the electrical connections and they seem to be alright, the MAF is pluged in so i know thats not causing it.

There are many problems that could be present in your situation. Check the following:

Vaccuum hose for break booster.
Fuel pump.
Timing.
All sensor connections.
Check your coolant temp sensor.

Do you have a CEL?
