NEW DSM

So I'm new to the DSM world but a car veteran. I am getting my Plymouth Laser RS AWD tonight! It is going to be my project and a car to absorb all the miles from my 14 Veloster R-Spec (I drive 60 miles to work each way). Just mostly saying hello and getting to know the other forum members.

Just kidding welcome to the site, I daily drive my dsm about 60 miles a day because I love working on cars and keeping them running is like an active project

Yea I just need something to help the poor vster. I got it in june and already put 20k on it.

I plan on beating the DSM into the ground, then once I move closer to work, rebuild the engine and tune it up for the track/fun

I dd my 1g tsi... girlfriend hates the weekend fix em ups but most of the stuff has been old rotten hoses that i should have just replaced from the beginning

I'm digging the RS, my buddy has one that he needs to finish. I keep pestering him that I want it really bad and will finish what he started. Lasers are hard to find.

Exactly! Plenty of potential for fun, and just as much potential for failure. Do your homework and do things the right way the first time. Start with the maintenance guides first, Good luck

It probably is not wise to beat your 25 year old daily that has to make a 120 mile round trip to work each day. That sounds like something you would do to a non-daily weekend warrior car. Just something to think about, after all, DSM's are not exactly known for their reliability... Welcome to the forums, and the DSM community though!

Good news for the Laser anyway, just moved from CT to AZ and now my daily drive is only about 5 miles. Don't have a place to work on it yet but will hopefully in a few months.

I daily my 90.... I mean seriously daily it. recently made a 640 mile round trip to NC and back. Take care of your car and it will take car of you
