Well I decided that I wanted aluminum floor mats so my buddy got some for me in trade. I am actually glad I got them, they look good in the car, but now I need pedals!
So anyhow I was thinking, I might as well make molds and make some sets in carbon fiber!! So today I broke out the tooling coat, spray gun and fiberglass. The molds came out really good and I just need to buff them up a bit before I lay up the carbon. Here are pics of the molds and the diamond pattern came out nice and crisp.
I will post up pics in a week or so of the actual carbon fiber mats once they are done. Scratches and scuff marks? Well, no more than the aluminum ones would get. And these would probally only go in for show...or I will make myself 2 sets.
This resin buffs up really nice though so it shouldn't be a problem.
