Has anyone bought one of these turbonetics turbo's with the polished comp husings and the 1 year warranties? What about the turbine quality? Internal gate anyone?
I know the regular RS series turbo's have the nice Bullseye tubine housings but not sure abot these "T" series models. Great price though! Anybody? Mark

I just got mine in the mail yesterday. I wont have it installed until sometime in march so I cant give you any info on its performance.

The turbo uses a turbonetics ceneter cartridge and compressor housing. The turbine housing has no markings but it looks exactly like the bullseye housing. It looks EXACTLY like this:

I asked ben what the a/r was and he said it was very close to .63. He went on to say that the design of the turbine housing was superiorto that of the PTE housing (I cant remember his reasoning). I also got the drain and oil feed from AGP and they are two very nice pieces.

The only thing that I didnt like was the internal wastgate. The wastegate appears to be physically smaller than the wastegate on my SBR 2g20g (can hold as low as 12 psi). The flapper also doesnt open all the way. Im thinking about grinding a little off the turbine housing so that the flapper can open more...

I let you know how it performs after the install but that wont be for another month or so. Im waiting on the piping for my front mount and for my new bumper.

I would like to know if the turbine housing is the same as used on the garrett RS49 that I have. The turbo to exhaust manifold flange is 5/8" thick and the turbine to 02 housing is a touch over 1/2" thick. If so i may go with the RS60t for future use as the price is great. Can someone who has this turbo measure it? mark

The turbo to exhaust manifold is 3/4" thick and the turbo to O2 housing is 1/2".

For those of you who want to buy this turbo, I wouldnt wait to long. Ben at AGP told me that he thought the turbo would only be on sale for another few weeks. I just charged mine and will pay that off once I get my tax returns.

i really like what the rs49 has to offer and will by getting it once i have the other supporting mods i need but i just cant figure what type of fuel system im going to have to get to suport this.... any ideas???? sory to hyjack the thread

I have the normal RS49 but pretty sure its a garrette turbo and the RS49 T and RS60T are turbonetics.I am currently quite pleased with my RS49 and these two seem like a great deal.Polished for those prices too.And don't have to tweak the water lines althugh that was no big deal really.
Just don't make the mistake I made on my RS49 and don't order the welded on elbow. Its a pain to remove for most front mounts. You can just use a silicone elbow if you need one.
Waste of 55 bucks.
Buddy Sweet97 just ordered a RS60T.He has a regular RS49 like me.Sure that 60 should be pretty freakin awesome.Might just have to upgrade myself sometime in the future but for now just want to max out the potential in my old RS49.
