NEW 93 eclipse and custom work PICS

Hello everyone

This is my first DSM..... 93 Mitsubishi eclipse 1.8 (argh) but i love it and its a great first DSM to get used to
had car for 2 days and spun a bearing
paid 1400 for car

car got a new short-block purchased from JisENGINES.com
and a new stage two clutch
brakes
struts
101000 miles on body
new paint
good to mint interior
ZERO RUST
plan on possibly painting spoiler white with white rims and blue calipers. and interior accents of white. plan to take my time a make it look quality. car is a little dirty as these are after the motor blew and well its Wisconsin salt .
also trying to DE carbon fiber it on the inside.

and that's my buddy's ford escort
17K engine
23Kbody
blew out third gear so the tranny is being rebuilt. this is the FOURTH TRANNY IN 3 years and its always third and fifth? and it auto
custom fabbing the front bumper hit a fat a$$ opposum
fixing dents in fender .
doing a little bonding and gonna be blasted with the silver.
car will be silver with blue accents.

I'll say it first and I know almost everyone will agree with me... Please take off that spoiler and do not paint your interior. You will regret it.

And yea, please take off the spoiler and dont paint the interior. I went through that stage with my old 1.8 so I know how you feel.

well yes i know its a little cheesy but really im not to worried about the spoiler as i have not had any complaints.....and we custom made some brackets so it sits lower on the car..... so to be honest not really the worst wing i seen on these.....but i knew id get flamed.....just had to show yall the ONE EIGHT

but opinions on the blue with white.

as for interior i was just thinking bout white/blue. not as in painting the trim.....Knob,custom shift boot,custom fabric panel insets for door. white main blue stiching. and a set of some mediocre racing seats white middle with blue accents.

also a custom SOUND SYSTEM

since I KNOW this dsm was not built for speed ima at least make it sound nice

OK The wing was on when purchased and motor blew so i currently do not have it to take off....

as in complaints i meant in person...

I would just leave it alone and daily it... (other than the wing)

IMO 1g's are hard to make into show cars... if thats what your trying to do..

Car looks very clean (besides the muddy pic ) Since you can't do too much performance wise I would make it as streamline nonrice as possible besides putting on a decent exhaust. Yes take off the wing asap. I wouldn't touch the interior unless it was with some armor all. Put some nice suspension on it & wheels. Yes painting the calipers is nice if done correctly.

1. The car looks like it will be a fine DD
2. Opinions and ideas? Why do ours matter? It's obvious you only want opinions that support your thoughts and others will be skipped over or taken as flaming
3. The wing needs to go
4. Price wise, not terrible, but IMO, a bit high.

I wouldn't have paid $1,400, you could have got a turbo 1G for that much. Sounds like you should have just got a Honda, but everyone to their own I guess.. O, and take off the wing.

hello everyone....

I plan on just making this car unique you know.

the reason i payed 14 was the engine was rebuilt 2000 miles ago and clutch was just replaced and other misc items, great interior and exterior..... had no idea it would spin a bearing.
and i am not worried about makeing it FAST at all for those wondering. i have realized its virtually impossible with out a ton of cash and could just buy an awd

yet again +1 for remove the wing.
i know, my car came with one on it too...and altezza taillights too. ( it also had a bumper sticker, but the had to go asap).
just because the previous owner wanted it to be "fast and furious" dosen't mean we should. my wing's coming off as soon as i find a high rise gsx spoiler.

My experience with the 1.8's have been nothing but perfect. I've even eeked out 40+
mpg regularly.
Opinions are like a- holes we've all got them and most of them stink.
You may have paid too much for the car. The first eclipse I bought was $59.95 plus a $30 eBay ecu and I've never paid more than $1500 which is the only one i have now.
Drop the car an inch or two, lose the auto zone spoiler,and clean it up real nice.
