I've got a 1998 Grey Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder Manual 46g4 parts car with a running motor and bad trans (wont work in ANY gear). I also have someone wanting to trade a ported and polished 1g head with 3 bent valves for the worn leather seats in the car (He's going to recover them). I'm curious as to what it would take to get this to work.
The car that I wouldn't mind swapping this into is a 1999 Black Mitsubishi Eclipse GST Automatic. The car will retain all the interior (Black & Tan), power steering, and ac because I do want to enjoy driving it. The current mod list is up to date or close (Not all installed). I also have loads of carbon fiber waiting to be installed. (Hood, Fenders, Hatch, Spoiler, Hatch Cover, Wiper Cowl, Fog Light Bezels, Head Liner, Sunroof Cover, Exhaust Guard, and Door Sills. It should be getting a paint job once it's done. Ohh and not to forget new black wheels with brushed faces.
The few mods I don't have which I plan on getting are as follows: FMIC, FP Exhaust Manifold (I had but used it on the DD), and a Shift Box.
And once the engine is done and in it will need a LSD or AWD Swap, Drag Radials, Magnus Street Intake, Larger Injectors, and a Bigger Turbo. But let's keep it mild for now and max out this 16g.
How should I go about this. I want a street monster but I would like to still be able to go to the strip and pull some decent numbers. (Probably HX35 (Suggestions?) & HUGE injectors for E85 later) What C/R should I aim for? What internals should I go with? Should I bore it out? Anything else?
This is my first complete build so any input is greatly appreciated.
