Just baught this car my plans are for it to be a strong daily driver i was replacing my vacumn lines and i noticed this was ran into my maf any known knowledge of this would greatly help thanks

Looks like someone hooked a rheostat into the maf to alter the signal going back to the ecu to force the car to run leaner or richer. Pretty old school haha, I remember people talking about doing this to try and pick up a few MPG.

Remove it and the wiring, Im sure the car will be much happier without it provided there arent any aftermarket parts (ie larger turbo or injectors) that it is trying to compensate for.

Thanks alot yea the said he also had nitrous hooked up to it to so mayb thats what it was compesating for again thanks alot for the info
