Need to know if this ECU is EPROM!

ECU came out of a 1998 Eagle Talon TSi. The chip number on it is: eb23d. Guys claims it is EPROM. But I need to know for sure. Thanks!

Is it in a metal case? If its plastic than it is not an eprom ecu. Go to dsmlink.com under the faq they have a pic of what the outside case of an eprom should look like. 1995 cars are the only ones that came stock with eprom's and some of them did not have one.

only way its an eprom is if it came out of a 95 and he put it in there. there are forms on DSMlink.com and Vfaq.com that can show you how to check if its EPROM.

its bronzish metal yes...im going to ask if it was origionally from a 95

that would be the only way to confirm absolutely for sure if its an eprom

have him open it up and take pics of it for you if you dont belive him 100%

I may be paranoid but I would request that he hold something specific up to the ecu in the pic so you can be sure that it is a picture that he took and not one pulled off the net.
