OK- here's the situation:

Im gonna get a new BOV and upper intercooler pipe, That's for certain. Im thinking about buying the upper intercooler pipe w/ a greddy bov flange from RRE. But the thought occurs to me, if i want to vent i need a MAFT right? I also need to buy new injectors(not necessarily to vent, just 'cause i need bigger injectors.). i got a fuel pump, NO AFC, and i was wondering if it was possible to tune w/ the maft? I was reading somewhere that you can do some tuning w/ the maft.. but.. im not really sure.

so i guess the big questions are:

1)How much does MAFT cost?

and should i do:

a)AFC and injectors w/ the UICP and greddy bov, recirc it, andhold off on the maft 'till later

or

b)just do the maft, injectors, UICP, bov, and AFC later/never (dsmlink somday)

i've only got about $500 to work w/ right now.
 
The difference between 1% increments and 2% increments isn't necessary for the average person.
 
It would be nice to get an afc, but if i can tune w/ a maft, i REALLY need to save the $. It's not like im going to break any records w/ the car. It doesn't even have a FMIC yet. i just wanna get it to that next "plateau" if you will so i can just sit back and soak up cash for suspension.

So here's what i figure:

Translator: $200
Used Maf: $30
Injectors: $340
UICP: $90
BOV: $170ish

thats $830. I can squeez another 330 out of the woodworks.

I think the other option is a little bit cheaper, but I won't be able to vent my bov.. which, call me a ricer if you want, i think is very cool :D
 
If you go with a 1g BOV, You'll be close to picking up a used safc for about $175. You ricer. :p
