We'll now that winter has came and the exterior and motor are done with my car the last thing to do is interior. Is gutted right now and I will be installing racing seats. Now the problem is I dont have any really good ideas as far as waht to do with the interior. Stereos and lights and all that mobo jumbo isnt my style I just want something tasteful and clean. I like the idea of carbon fiber but I dont want it to look tacky. If anyone has any interesting tasteful ideas you wanna throw out there go for it. Also if any of you have any interior pics be sure to post them! I gotta get some ideas flowin! :thumb:

I'd bet since your car's blue, a salt-and-pepper Twill fabric on very simple door panels would look killer. Have your interior painted body color and put down badass floormats that match the door panels. Also stretch some on the headliner, to match and keep things tidy.

Also, tuck wires or wrap them neatly in looms or ZipTies. Nothing looks more business than a clean, bare interior with clean wiring and nice door panels.

Just some thoughts.

I dunno about the interior the same as the body color. In my opinion there needs to be some complimentary stuff goin on rather than the same color. And especially that blue. That'd kill my eyes after a few minutes in the sun. But it looks good on the outside, LOL.

I think if I do anything with paint on the interior its gunna be the gauge bazel and it would be painted shiny black with a hi gloss clear. I'm also thinkin about making a black headliner and keeping an all black interior. I have gery dash board I was thinkin about pullin that out in exchange for a all black one and center console. Anyone have any custom things they have made out of carbonfiber or anything like that?

I'm doing a 7" screen (VGA touch screen for computer) molded in the double din slot, to loop OEM, and covered in carbon fiber.
I actually have it finished (I just need the screen now... I bought the screens case so i don't ruin a very expensive monitor ;) )
But it doesn't look that great because I did really bad prep work before putting the CF down, and you can see all the bumps and dips through the CF... I will eventually do another one :)

Give a full roll cage a go to compliment the seats, not the cheap stuff, the quality stuff.. have the cage painted car color, find a nice fabric to go along with the interior of the all black. depending on your tint laws i'd tint all or some of the windows to help with looks a bit

do black and charcol the head liner you could do in carbon fiber if you want( there is one for sale in cf on the classifieds.$300)but i would just do a black. then black dash and panels and you could buy a cf trim kit. it would be suttel but classy. thats what i would do but i like things that look like they might have been stock. like almost "stockly custom"

Gross. That would get on my nerves very quickly. And to the OP, I'd be careful with the high-gloss stuff. The last thing you want is a faux-mirror blinding you at 3 in the afternoon.

Make a carpc mold the touch screen into the dash then you wont need a laptop to tune and you can make adjustments anytime you want. Similar to my avatar but do a better job than I did.

PSI- I did my interior with black leather racing seats, leather back, and everything in grade a carbon fiber. The A pillars, B Pillars, Door Panel Inserts, Knee Dash, glove box with TV built in, all air vents except the Door, kick panels, rear cargo, door sills, radio bezel, side of glove box, that oval piece over the speedometer, side panels near the center console, and the cruise control piece. I left the dash black, and Im having my center console fabricated as well as my air bag with carbon fiber. Im trying to keep the theme nice, but simple since that is what the judges like to see if your into show as well. Check out www.c2rmotorsports.com That's my sponsor and he does really great work if your looking to get some CF work done. Just throwing in a suggestion =) I have my car gutted right now but I will get pics up soon to show.

Definatly going to keep it clean and classy. I'm really liking the Idea of going black with everything. Girlsgofaster thank you for the web site. I might be having them do some cf work. Anyone know if the sell real carbon fiber gauge pods? I would also like to find a cf B pillar to match.

I was browsing the gallery and came across these two pics and I must say it's one clean interior, looks expensive though with all the sparco stuff. I would keep it clean like that but maybe with a different color choice.:thumb:

What I think would look just awesome would be a full black interior with some bushed aluminum accents. Whatever you do keep it clean and classy

I like the general idea of black and being clean and classy, but I wouldn't go all black. I'd go black and white.

I thnk a couple white accents on the trim if not overly done would be nice. -Like on the dished part of the door, the trim ring around the radio/climate controls, the center console compartment lid and a white leather shift boot. Maybe use blue colored bulbs to replace the interior lights, they would look good reflecting off the white parts and brushed/polished aluminum.

Yeah what about like a black and a light grey or a charcol? I just have a feeling the white would get dirty and hard to keep clean.
I agree with the white getting dirty. And plus, how would you change the color of the interior pieces to white? Spray paint them? IMO, every time i see a rattle-canned interior, it just looks cheap. I also agree that going ALL black would be a little much. I like how the interior in the pictures used some silver/aluminum accents. I think if you changed all those grey pieces to black it would look great (minus the stickers). Post up some pics whenever you get this done. Good luck

Yeah white could get dirty if you're messy but it wouldn't be too difficult to clean up unless you hit it with something pretty nasty. Charcoal might be a better idea, just find the right shade. As for painting it, prep work and patience makes all the difference. Sand it down, use a couple coats of primer and finish it off with a few coats of clear. Don't just buy some el-cheapo wal mart spray cans and try to do it all in one coat.

like i said before you cant go wrong with the black and charcol tie a little bit of carbon fiber in there such as in the (seats, steering wheel , shift boot , or trim and you have a good looking interior that shows no wear and will amaze anyone.

I would go with some suede. Wrap the headliner in some black, and do the pillars in black also possibly. You can also get some blue suede. But some suede in the car would look very nice give you that classy look.

your right suede would look good but not blue:notgood: this is not a japanese ricer car show

What if you went with all black interior with charcoal suede inserts in the doors (like above), armrest (like above), and shift boot (like above). Although from what I hear suede can get a little pricey
