Need some help with my rpms on my 1g

when the car is fully warmed up and its in park it idles at 1300rpms i think thats a bit high it should be at 750 right? so can i just turn the biss screw to get it back to 750 or i need to do some other things?

also will my turbo still be able to cool down with it idling at 1200 rpms?

but i have a chip and its set at 850 when in drive.

Pending that your throttle completely closes after you release the throttle inside the car and you don't have any bad sensors, adjusting the BISS screw should resolve the issue. As far as cooling the turbo, I don't see why it necessarily would not cool the turbo as you are not spooling or working the turbo really at that level but it couldn't hurt to lower the RPM to be safe. I would think as long as you let your car run for a minute or two after boosting to make sure enough fresh oil has flown through the turbo, you'd be fine.

Remember that there is a specific procedure necessary to properly adjust the idle, you can't just play with the BISS, as the ECU will fight the adjustments.
