Well I am just getting the car running and i was wondering if someone could give me some base settings for my safc 2 just to make the car run safely. They dont have to be great just any imput would really help. I have a buschar 20g, pte 680cc injectors, rewired walbro, web race cams, 2g mas 2.5, exhust front mount, technomative stage 3 ecu all that good stuff. Like I siad im not looking to make 400hp now im just looking to get the car running decent until I can get it to extremes in a couple of weeks for dnyo tunning. So any help would really be appreciated guys im lost

It'd be pretty hard to give you some accurate settings for your setup... I don't know much about that stage 3 ecu, but if i were you, i would set the thr points at 30 and 70 and set the lows to -15% and the highs to -18% for just DAILY DRIVING... don't hold me to those settings, but they should be rich if anything.
If you see black smoke out the back, lean it out a little bit more. You REALLY need a logger if you want to know what the settings SHOULD be.

FYI, on 550's and an evoIII running 20psi, my high settings on 93 octane go from -35% to -31%.

Amen. Having that many mods and no logger is rediculous.

I have the hook up to a logger but it wont fit my lab top, but i guess i will have to get an adaptor or buy a pocket logger. Its not like I would no what im looking at anyway im still learning all this stuff I really just need to get to extremes and get it tuned i just want the thing to run good enough to get the motor broke in and tuned.

Your best bet would be to keep it at factory settings (0%) across the board until you can get over to extreme. Everyone is going to have different settings to make there car run the way they want there car to run. Yours of course would be different.

With the PTE 680's I'd start at about -30% accross the board for hi setting and -12 for low setting until you get a logger.
I'm sure that would be ballpark if he wasn't running a 2g MAF.

This is why AFC setting threads are a bad idea.

Well I do have a 2g mass so i guess those #s wont hold up. Like i siad im just looking to get the motor broke in until i can get it tunned

Consider the 0% correction option until you get a logger.

Just subtract 20% from what I said for the hi throttle setting, and half the low throttle setting.
I'm going to ask that you not give advice like this, or be ready to own up if his motor shits the bed. -10 would be close for HI, but I wouldn't even recommend that. Every car is different.

Idont think the motor would like the 0% settings very much with 680cc injectors, unless he could put the stockers back in.

Do you folks ever attempt reading comprehension? The 2g MAS will bring the needed (approx) correction from -30ish to -10ish, and I'd rather not risk the motor on guesses, thus the 0% suggestion. Note my original suggestion was to buy a damn logger.

In the manual, read page 30 other than that you need a logger.

I have a pocket logger running on my Palm, but my question is: where can I download the program for it? I have the cables and everything for the CAR, but not the base for the computer. Sorry for the noob question, but im curious.

try this thread-

http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157684&highlight=knock+load

I had horrible problems with just 550's a 2 g mass with to much timing. It not as noticable when drag racing but part throttle drivabilty suffers a lot. I got a keydiver chip and 750's now. Amost zero knock at 19psi and great drivability. Had to fork out some bucks for an eprom though. Personaly any correction with mass and or afc which is going to fool the computer more than 10% of the real airflow coming into the car is gonna cause some kind of issue and really should be corrected at the ECU. Hope this helps :thumb:

0% correction  You problably won't run very well with those settings, if you can even run at all.
