Alright guys, so I have been doing a lot of research lately, and have come to the conclusion that I need some help with selecting parts for a 500+ FWHP street build for my 96 TSI. I currently have a EVO III 16G on the car, with a FP manifold. I love the look of the cast manifold, but I am thinking that in my quest for 500 FWHP, I may have to go with a T3 flanged hotside. Thinking possibly an HX35, or maybe a GTX3076R. I am still new with all this stuff, but looking at threads and with all the research I have done, I am thinking that both of these turbos with the right setup could potentially net my goals. I know it will be a lot of tuning to get either of these setups to net this kind of HP, but I think I can make it happen, with a good build on the engine. My main reason for these turbo choices is their spool characteristics, which I like from what I have read. As I said, it's gonna be primarily a street car, so I don't want to be hitting boost at 5000 rpm's. Thinking that a HX35, or maybe an HX40 would be my best bet. Plan is to run E85, possibly 264 or 272 cams, a worked 2g head, forged internals, not really wanting to stroke it though. All the supporting mods will be done, and I will be taking my time with the build, as the car still runs, and runs good, just I have the HP bug. Apologies for the long thread, but I don't want to leave anything out. Thanks

I heard about that, but I also heard they don't spool all that great. Thinking HX35 because I can get a T3 manifold and housing for one and still get decent spool times.
