My parking brakes haven't been working right on my '92 Talon FWD since I got my car last fall. I think the car sat too long with the parking brake engaged, it just got seized up really bad. One side doesn't work at all, and the other side only holds just a little bit. I've got new cables for both sides, but when I started to look at the car today, I reallized that this might me a major job, more of one than I originally thought. I just had some buddies of mine help me get a new exhaust on the car, and we all forgot about the parking brake cables untill it was too late. Now it looks like I need to get the heat shield off and who knows what else to do the job. I really don't want to take that exhaust off, and I'm assuming the center console has to get taken out. Has anyone ever changed cables on a FWD 1g DSM? Any help would be appreciated.
