need help with my logger

I just bought a logger cable that hooks up to my laptop and I was wondering where I should connect the wires. There are two wires, one red and one black.

You sure you bought a OBD 2 datalogger cable? They will have a connector to match the diagnostic port not a couple of loose wires.

the wires are connected to the adapter for the back of my computer. Not the usb port, but the other one... sorry not sure the name. Then from that piece two wires, one black and one red, come out of it.

I think you bought a cable for a 1g but their sussposed to have 3 wires or atleast mine do.

the guy i bough it from told me it def was for a 2g so I think it is supposed to be for a 2g

A picture would help.
I hesitate to suggest that those might be power because the OBD 2 connector has power on it but stranger things have happened.

NO way you could have a friend or a family member take one for ya? or go to wal-mart and buy a POS camera for 10 bucks. If you want help then you gotta be willing to help yourself.

Yea, I mean I will have mine fixed I just am waiting for sony to send it back. I jus thought if anyone could help me from my description that would be nice

Right now, you haven't given us much to go on. A red and black wire coming out of an adaptor on the back of your computer attached to some port.

A typical ODB2 interface would have a serial cable from your computer to the adaptor that plugs into the diagnostic port on your car.
