Need Help With Mp3/Cd PLayer

When i bought the car it came with a mp3/cdplayer it wasnt the stock one that comes with the car, and my battery died a while back and when i fixed the battery and added a new one my player just like rebooted and is now asking me to enter a 4 digit code which i have no idea what it is.. and now i cant listen to radio or music at all, do i have to buy a new one or what?! i tried everything i tried every code and it still wont work, it didnt come with a manual or nothing. What can i do????

Whats the brand of your cd player, I'll see if I can find something out about this for you.

i wrote down everything i saw on the player its a kenwood, and i saw some letters and numbers, KDC-MPV5025 maby the serial or something, then i also saw MOS FET 50Wx4 anyone got a clue? ima try to search on yahoo as well thanks.

Most obvious solution, find the exact model number and perhaps the serial number. Contact the manufacturer of the deck, via website, or phone tech support, tell them your problem and tell them the info you do have, they should be able to help you.

It seems as if you have the model number already, that should help you, go manufacturer's website and go from there, you have most of the information you need to fix your problem.

i had a cd player at one time that would do this anytime you unhooked power. the way it was on the one i had it was a theft deterent, so that whoever stole could not use it or sell it due to it not working without the security code. yours may be different but it sounds like the one i had.
if that is the case tech support should be able to help you out with the code.

tech support is real ### they will not help me out since i do not have any proof of purchase i need to have the invoice to show that i bought it so now they will not let me unlock it......... and i do not want to buy a new 1 this sucks and yea its an anti theft thing whenever it gets reset or unhooked it needs a code.....

Why don't you contact the person you bought the car from. They might know it? But if they dont know what it is then. You should start shopping around. I know the classifieds on this site have some pretty good deals. But if you get one from them make sure it has a handbook and all that stuff. But good luck with it man.
