I am changing the color of my trim because after getting a new paint job it just doesn't look right. The only part of removal i am having trouble with is the trim that goes around radio, heater controls etc. In the middle dash. I am hoping i won't have to remove the whole dash just to get it off. I researched it but the pics that would help are old and won't pop up any more. So if anyone can give me some advice i would sure appreciate it. Thanks

Thanks. It seemed kind of loose like i could pop it off but i didn't want to break it. Just figured i would make sure before i break something.

Not to make you nervous but they do like to break. Just be careful and pry on the bottom of the heater control holes first. There are clips on either side of the piece under the knobs, and little pieces that sort of notch in at the bottom. It's one of those deals where once you pop the middle clips out just angle the top downwards and you can pull the bottom out easily.

Ok your statement made me nervous just reading it haha. Thanks for that advice. Good stuff to know.

Grab and pull, it comes out easily, and wont break! Grab from the sides, from the bottom, shake rattle and pull. :D

Hope you got it out, and make sure there is some padding on the back edges of it when you re-install it, or it will produce a rattle!

Yessir i got it all out very easily. Just have airbag to do and i'm done. Now all orange same color as exterior.

I was thinking of you yesterday while I was pulling my radio trim out to tighten my short shifter, the bolt worked it's way out not allowing me to get into first :(
I thought to myself, I'm sure glad my bezel doesn't come out easy, my 2 previous eclipses were super easy to get out, they would rattle though even after adjusting the clips, and I was able to still pop mine out with two fingers!

That's gotta be pretty sweet looking! Hope you post some pics :)
