Do I need to de-pressurize the fuel pump? Im confused or can i just unbolt the fuel filter and throw a new one back on? SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!!

Just let the car sit for about 15 minutes before doing the change. Unscrew the gas cap as well. Have a filter wrench and your set to do the change. Other than that, have a rag for spurting fuel.

Yes, you have to relieve the fuel pressure in the line before changing your filter. If you crack any fitting in the fuel system while its pressurized, fuel will spray everywhere. Very dangerous. Consult a service manual for the correct procedure, but generally it involves unplugging/disabling the fuel pump, removing the gas cap, and cranking the car over for 10 seconds to relieve the pressure. Once thats done, fuel with leak out instead of spraying everywhere when you change your filter.

When I changed mine, I unplugged the fuel pump with the car running. When I removed the fuel filter, some residual fuel in the lines spilled out, but it wasn't pressurized.

Ugh how do i remove the bottom nut!! Its killing me!!

As for removing the bottom nut... use a wrench. It's difficult to get, but it'll come off. Make sure you suppose the filter so you don't bend the fuel lines or bracket. Perhaps use a rag around the filter to get a good grip. I have a large pair of channel lock pliers that would work.

I tried all of that, I turned it counter clockwise and it started to flatten the nut. So I didnt want to push it. After a bunch of PB blaster it still wouldnt come lose, Im a pretty strong guy and I couldnt get it to budge. So im having a local oil place do it for 60. :coy:
