Its leaking right at the bottom of the flange right where it bolts up. Does this mean my master cylinder is bad or is there a seal right there I need to replace. I would just like to figure it out before I go buy a new one because I'm broke from just buying a new clutch.
Thanks

It looks like your master cylinder is starting to go.
You should also notice brake fluid leaking inside the car onto the pedals.

I was in your shoes about 5 months ago.
Then I found out that Advanced Discount Autoparts sells master cylinder rebuild kits for only 13 bucks.
It's probably the easiest thing I have ever done to my car.
And it's still holding strong.

well I went to auto zone and they said it was 140$new and O reileys said around that price to, Ive heard they are alot cheaper than that is this true? Thanks

anybody know why they want 140 for a master brake cylinder if a rebuild kit is only 13 dollars.

Because a rebuild kit is a piston and a couple of cups instead of a complete assembly. But if you're asking this question, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable recommending you do a master cylinder rebuild.
