Okay so i sold my 420a engine and need to pull it. Im trying to get the bolt that holds the whole brake and rotor system on. IT WILL NOT BUDGE! I used a breaker bar, PB BLASTER, even Torched it. Wont budge. I need to get the axles off so I can pull the engine and tranny at once.

Someone help! whats a easier way to do this!

The bolts that hold the caliper bracket on are usually put in from the factory with a form of loctite(chrysler loctite stinks BTW).

If you have access to a impact gun use that if not try harder!!!

well the axle isn't bolted to the trans its popped in with a snap ring. Jut place a pry bar between the axle cup and trans and pop it loose. Might take awhile but it will pop out. if your taking about the 32mm axle nut yea its a PITA to break losse but just use a big breaker bar and it'll come off

Ignore the part about taking the axle nut off. Just swing the brake and rotor assembly away when you pop out the axle from the tranny.

I never did that much to pull out the axle just to remove the engine. I did unbolt that lower arm that this guy did, but after that, all i did was pull the entire hub asembly towards me and the axle came out of the tranny. Those green cups were still in the transmission but the axle itself slid right out of them. If I still had my eclipse I would take pictures but I sold it. But I had to put a wrench on both sides of it because the nut and bolt would spin together.

Reading comprehension^^

southeneclipser, if your "green cups" stayed in the transmission, you've got other problems to deal with. That would mean that both of your axles would be broken.

Glad you got it OP. It can sometimes be a real biotch to get out. SOMETIMES you will be forced to break it off.
