I pulled the engine on my 90 GSX last night in order to do the balance shaft elim kit install...I screwed up and forgot to crack the crank gear bolt loose before pulling the engine. Well I had to figure out a way to crack it loose with the engine hanging from my hoist (what a pain in the ass!) Dont ask how but I got it to crack loose at the expense of a broken inake cam gear. *&^^! Now the belt seems to have slipped about 2-3 teeth. I turned the engine over at the crank bolt about 20 times and the pics below show the closest I can get the timing marks to allign. The cam gears and oil pump gears align with now problems but the balance shaft and crank marks will not align no matter what. This is what leads me to believe the belt slipped. All the marks were perfectly aligned before I cracked the crank bolt loose. I am 99 percent sure no valves were bent since the engine rotates normally. Can someone tell me what to do next so that I dont cause any damage...>? Trust me, any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
This is as close to alligning the mark on the crank gear as I can get it now
