Hello,
I'm a member in the detroit area who is seeking the aid of anyone who knows how to do a water pump installation. My old pump is leaking badly to the point where it would leave a puddle after siting for 30 seconds. I bought a new pump and the guys down at pep boys wanted to charge me $300 bucks for the labor. At the time i simply cant afford to pay that much money even though i know it's a 3 hour job. A friend of mine knows a guy that can do it for $250 but i figured that before i settled for that i would check here to see if i could get a better deal. So if there is anyone in the area that can do it for less then i would GREATLY appreciate it. and ill even throw in dinner :)

I've only done it with the motor out of the car...from what I've heard, its a PITA job with the motor installed. I'd help ya if I had done it the way you need it done. There are some good write-ups on how to do it on this site. Maybe you could get a friend and just have an extra hand. Its not complicated really, its just hard to access.
