Need Help Getting Wing Off!

Hey guys, I'm replacing my factory non turbo wing with a turbo one that i found at a junk yard off an 98 GSX. The only problem is....how do i go about getting the old wing off? Its the 3 piece wing that came with the car that im trying to get rid of. I found the wires that lead up the main support into the wing to light up the LEDs, and with it theres only one bolt (see picture).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm taking her in for new paint on July 8th and I want to put the turbo wing on before then!

I did the same thing to mine. i think you unplug the wiring it should just be 1 connecter thing. then undo that bolt. then there should be 1 or 2 on the sides of the hatch. then the 2 little pieces of wing on the sides of the car you just pry them off with a screwdriver with a rag over it.

so theres really only 1 bolt holding it on? we cant get access to the bolts (if there are any) on the outside edges of the trunk area...

no there should be 5 in the main part of the wing

after you pop the little side wings off (as in pic 2) there is something under it with a couple more bolts. once you have your wing off there is going to be about 10 nickle sized holes and one half-dollar sized one that the body shop is gonna have to fill. the turbo spoiler goes on pretty easy once you have it where you want it i think it has 4 bolts

Hey brad, I still cant see any other bolts under the trunk area of the car...When i pop off those two side parts, the other bolts that hold on the main part of the wing will be there? I dont see how, since its a three piece wing( im not saying your wrong or anything, i just dont see the others :-/)...any other instruction would be greatly appreciated!! painting is coming up!

Ok im pretty sure this is where they are at, but its kinda hard for me to tell they should be there though because i have body filler in those areas that im assuming are from the body shop filling in my old holes. If its not there im sorry i dont know what else to tell yea.

to get the wings on the side of the car off, look on the side of the wing where it meets the wing on the top of the trunk .there should be 2 bolts take those off, then you will be able to take that off.but beware there is 5 bolts under that wind all leaving holes.

thanks Green Machine But Brad haha man, I dont have those bolts....I pryed (spelling?) the edge of the wing on the trunk up, and i could see i believe two bolts holding each side down...but they're not showing through the trunk!!! Im thinking they are under that extra metal molding on the top of the trunk...I would get a picture for you guys, but its dark outside now :-/ All in all the other four bolts on the wing on the trunk are NOT visible

my old 98 talon never had a spoiler on it so the owner before me put a stock one on it and decided to put some strong sealant under it and it wouldnt come off, hope yours came with a spoiler stock and no one tried to seal one on there before you

That might very well be possible as i cant get access to////see the other 4 bolts holding the main part of the wing on.
